I have always owned dogs both as a child and as an adult, life would not be the same without my four legged friends.

After many years of riding horses and bringing them on from foals I have decided, mainly due to a succession of injuries, it is now time to take life at a slightly less dangerous pace and converted to showing Dogs instead. This, I think, is the way many Deerhound owners start their love affair with these charming creatures.

I chose this particular breed as I once had a Deerhound, German Shepherd cross called Tess, she had the sweetest most biddable nature I had ever known.

I am very lucky to own four Deerhounds and they give me hours of pleasure both in the show ring and at home. I chose the name Meneghy because it is Cornish for Sanctuary
